first to see Jesus

the daughter of Eve
the women who had been judged
faithful to our Savior
with him at the cross

first to see Jesus
to taste the resurrection
the blessing of forgiveness
Mary at the table

She had remained
when the others ran away
sealing the breach
on that Easter day
