When other ran, fled
denied they knew his name
Mary, at the foot of the cross
there when our Savior died
She was faithful
going as they took him away
returning to care for him
to wash his beaten face
Alone in the garden
in despair of not finding him
at the grave when he arose
calling out to her
Mary, a daughter of Eve
the first to see our Lord
risen, walking with us
life forevermore
