The power of faith
in that fleeting moment
when Peter got out
and stood on living water
Able to stand
while focused on Christ;
sinking when he heard
the whispers of the world
We are given
the same choice to follow
to stand with Christ
on the living waters
To focus our lives
centered on the rock
or blown like the dust
in the storm of this earth
