No joy in this moment
though it had to come
a time of decision
the crucible of the law
Prayers in sorrow
for the dividing of our people
judging one another
when we all should be free
Called by the Father
to serve in our way
to offer Christ to all
every single day
Each of us gifted
to serve the community
to lift up our neighbors
to lead to eternity
A prayer for the Spirit
of the love of Christ
the grace of the Father
to fall down on us
To guide the decisions
this time of trial
to lead to union
after this hard mile
