The Enormity of Their Sorrow – v3

Witnesses before us
speaking of our history
of the ripples, the consequence
war on this world

The whole nation
people of their country
all of them swept away
shaken by disaster

Reeling from the power
unleashing of the atoms
the enormity of their sorrow
more than they can stand

“Michelle and I join with millions of Christians
here and across the world to mark Ash Wednesday.
As we observe the season of Lent, we receive
with thanksgiving this opportunity for grace and repentance,
recommit ourselves to our faith, and
remember our obligations to one another.”
