He wouldn’t have died

The words of his family
his sisters faithful
standing before their master
their friend, Jesus
knowing he is the Christ
that he could heal them
a mix of emotions
in the fact that he died
he wouldn’t have died
if Christ had come sooner
able to heal him
if he was yet alive
accusation, regret
pain, disappointment
yet hope yet still within them
because he is God
