Stand resolute
strong against the torrent
kindling the flame within us
embers burning brightly
against the torrent, the chaos
the forces on this earth
seeking the quench the fire
burning within us
to drown us in the waters
never rising again
to put out the Holy Spirit
we must never let that happen
burning bright together
standing in the torrent
fanning the flames, together
burning ever, to the end of time
the fire alive within us
those who claim his name
