I gave my back to those who struck me

Christ could sing the servant song
he live out the verses
the pain he suffered
the humiliation God faced
Christ was fully human
so the torture caused him pain
yet he submitted fully
drinking every drop
of the cup of sorrows
he gave his all unto God
he gave his back to those who struck him
going to the cross
