despised the word of God

tearing the fabric of relationship
the bond between God and man
sin, the sword ripping,
a schism on the land
tearing the fabric of relationship
the bond between God and man
the breach only Christ could heal
the balm of God’s loving hand
stitching a path to righteous
following the Son of Man
