Not to be successful

The message of the dust
of kicking it off
absolving us complete
not focused on results
The call to the disciples
the charge to those sent
to be faithful, productive,
to trust in the Lord
Sowing only, trusting in the Lord
leaving the message planted
out in the world
kicking off the dust,
leaving them to their fate
those who would not listen
not hearing God’s Word
left to their fate
out in the broken world
