We are Clay of God’s Earth

No more than dust, ashes
merely clay of God’s earth
made alive by his touch, his hand
gathered and molded
shaped for God’s purpose
Merely clay of his earth

No more than dust, ashes
given life by God’s breath
his creation, his people
all people on earth
God wants to give us life
Given life by God’s breath
