before Jesus’ feet touched Nazareth’s dust

Hundreds of years earlier
in the intimacy of Solomon’s prayer
the dwelling place, with them
the sound of God there
Long before Jesus’ feet
touched Nazareth’s dust
God was right here with us
in our walk on this earth
He was there to guide us
if we would heed his words
there to correct us
when we strayed from the Word.
