The brilliant verdant green
of summer, dying
but life in their dying
in oranges and yellows
colors of that palette
A painting of creation
the true colors
in oranges and yellows
before the face of God
Peeling off summer
the sameness of the color
a dance before the winter
revealed in vivid colors
their living in this season
