there in the garden,
Gethsemane,
Christ’s prayer to God
to have the cup pass by
the sorrow deep inside
falling to the ground
anguish in his prayer
his face a mask of blood
salvation in there
in this moment of decision
taking on our sin
becoming humble to God’s
plan
drinking the cup of pain

Mark
7:21-23 (NIV)
Mark
7:20-23 (The Message)
‘He (Christ) went on: "It's what comes out
of a person that pollutes:
obscenities, lusts, thefts, murders, adulteries,
greed, depravity,
deceptive dealings, carousing, mean looks,
slander, arrogance,
foolishness—all these are vomit from the heart.
There is the source of your pollution."’
