our own stories, our
testing
our trials of struggle,
of doubt
maybe not something to
write about
for pages of scripture to
be written
about our struggles, our
trials
for we are not Christ
but we all sojourn, we
all journey,
in the wilderness at
times
caught in the snare of the
Tempter
seeking to separate us
from God
to give us rewards in
this life
to deny us eternal life
to separate us from the
vine
the source of our
strength
our wilderness, our time
of testing
in the presence of the
Tempter,
in those thin places
when the road seems hard
and we struggle, deep
within
our time in the
wilderness
away from our God
we journey in the wilderness
lost, in the world,
when life seems barren
when we can’t go on
we are in wilderness
struggling in this life
when we are in chains,
lost
out in this world
