a phrase, a word too often
stated
a cudgel, a bludgeon
a badge of honor
we give ourselves
wanting to be someone
worthy of the name
words matched by my deeds
offering a hand
to anyone in need
acting on my faith
using my skills,
my gifts from above
help to everyone I can
An open hand in love
as the words from my heart
my hands, my feet, my voice
equal, no one set apart
loving as he loved us,
no one left out
