no flesh hidden, all
exposed
the scalpel, precision
the light of God’s word
a mirror, reflection
of what is found inside
cutting into flesh, open,
our lives revealed
our righteous judge,
Jesus
knowing how we feel
cutting into flesh
exposed, wide open;
may the surgeon heal us
bring us back to life
a life made worthy
walking in the light
