May we all burn like the
flames of Pentecost
may we shine like the
Transfigured Christ,
may we glow like Moses
on the mountain
in the presence of the
living God
May we be ignited, the
flames inside
may we be a candle to
light other fires
burning within, to
quicken the flame
testifying to Jesus,
why He came
May we be strangely
warmed like John Wesley;
may we seek to move
from grace to grace to grace
drawing every closer to
the way of Christ,
the way of the cross,
the path to our living God
May we seek to bring
others to Christ,
to share the message of
our Risen Lord;
may we strive to use our
gifts and talents
to be the hands and
feet of Christ
May we be like a candle
of hope
igniting other candles,
other lives here upon
this earth,
sharing love with our
neighbors
as we are called in
this life.
