Journeying, traveling far
Joseph and Mary
going, as they were ordered
to David’s town
Bethlehem,
though they were not
following a star
without a reservation
no room at the inn
Homeless and tired
a cold stable became their
home
In this space, unheralded
with the animals alone
watching
the Messiah entered the
world
to bring salvation
to offer himself, God
a fragrant offering
so that we may live
