Prayers of the People, by Raymond A. Foss, Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church, March 16, 2014

Prayers of the People
March 16, 2014
Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church
Patten, ME

God of mystery and majesty
we come before you trusting,
confident in your providing
our every need
but we acknowledge
we do not understand
when tragedy comes
when darkness surrounds us

We lay before you
the desires of our hearts
that we may be transformed
by their fulfillment

We come before you for
strength for healing
Spirit fall down upon us
show your holy presence
let us feel You with us
on our earthly journey.

Most importantly Lord,
in this season of Lent,
we thank you and praise you
for life and for our new life
in Jesus Christ, our
Risen Lord and Savior
in whose name we pray.

Amen
