After the communion
returning the elements
to the ground,
to the earth
gently sharing the remains
the bread, the wheat
the blood, the wine
to parched giving soil
sharing His echo,
His form of remembrance
Carefully breaking the
pieces
for the birds of the air
pouring out the wine for
the crawling things of the
earth
Life giving nourishment
bread and water of life
completing our communion
through Him
with all of creation
sharing life
