how must they have felt
sitting at the feet of Jesus
even if they were the same words
spoken with authority, with power
not like the scribes
those in the temple
not mere words to Jesus
a message deep within them
how God loves us
unconditionally, as a parent
a loving Father to us
all children of God
how this must have been different
sitting at the feet of Jesus
hearing the words of God
from the mouth of God.
