“Hold still”, we say
to a squirming baby;
“be still”, God says
to each one of us in turn,
“be still and know that I am God.”
God is our parent
God loves us in His mercy
God wants us to come to Him
with burdens on our heart
We are to come
but we must listen,
be still, at peace
at the feet of the Savior.
God hears us
He is ready to answer;
We must be still
and trust in God’s provision.
