Signs of His touch
marks of the Potter’s hand
little places moved
pushed into position
His efforts recorded
written on the flesh, the
tissue
on this flawed vessel
on my life, my clay
Places where imperfections
worked out by His molding
sculpting of His knowing,
working
the clay, slowly, giving to
His will
Reformed by the touch, the loving
touch
the water, the healing of
brokenness
made useful, ever needing
more
of the Potter’s hands, His
marks on me
