is there a but in my submission story

Mary gave all
as did the widow
pulling her two coins
in the offering plate
Mary gave all
all she had to offer
the pure nard poured out
on the feet of Jesus

is there a but
in my submission story
my fingers crossed behind my back
not giving completely
Mary gave all
but can I say the same
my life poured out
at the feet of Jesus.
