They saw Jesus
but they could not see Christ
the One, I Am,
Yeshua, Messiah,
the One foretold
the Christ, the Servant
they could not believe
even though He stood before
them
the living Son of God
Emmanuel, God with us
come to the earth
They could not see Christ
only seeing Jesus
Mary and Joseph’s son
the man they knew
nothing more, far less,
that who He claimed to be
unable, unwilling no eyes to
see,
not believing the words
what He was speaking
the signs all around them
the healings, those cured
Showing all of them
the divine wisdom, truth,
God within the law
they did not see Christ
not believing the signs
the bread of life
bread, manna from heaven
life in this man
this man, Jesus, the Christ
standing before them
offering them life
