to see Judas as the
zealot
not as the betrayer
to give the kindest take
on his motivation
to hasten the kingdom
the reign of God
to precipitate action
the rule established
Christ upon the throne
the enemies vanquished
all according
to Judas’ plan
the reign of God
in God’s own time
what hubris, what
arrogance
to hasten the Lord
if that was what he was thinking,
no, really, honesty,
did he think he could
push
our sovereign Lord?
