This moment had to come
based on all that had been spoken
the visits of the angels
the gifts of the Magi,
Simeon’s prophecy
Joseph was his father;
but He was in His Father’s house.
The transformation here
when Jesus was only twelve
giving Christ to the Father
eighteen years before the dove
before the river, the Jordan
while Jesus was still a child.
In a real sense He had become the Christ
the Messiah awoken
leaving His youth
His earthly journey;
Different from these days forward,
Joseph no longer on the stage;
Christ had become the Son of God.
