All of life's
problems bleed away
When I get
grounded in the water.
Grounded in
the love of God
the never-ending
wellspring of life
poured out
for all who would drink
who would draw
in the energy, the love,
the grace of
God’s gifts, so freely given
Like the
woman at the well
we ask for
the cup to be filled
for our
thirst to be quenched,
without
having to walk to the well
thirsty and
tired, hot and tired
wanting,
needing that water
to grounded
our faith
Lord, we pray
for
a special
anointing;
strengthening
our spirits
to go and do
His work

Grounded
in the Water - Revised
posted February 10, 2004
Written 8/27/00. It says it all about my summer
retreat, living in a cabin, on an island, in a lake.
