at each fork on our journey – v2

At any point of decision,
at each fork on our journey
a chance to listen to the call of the world
or to the wooing of God;
God calls us to the path
that He preordained for us;
before the creation of the world
God had a plan for each of us

Two roads, two paths,,
two divergent journeys
in the woods, on the street,
in the paths of our minds;
Two roads, two paths,
two journeys we follow,
paths so different
in the sight of God

A choice on our journey,
at each fork in the road,
to choose to be faithful
or to follow the world;
We can walk the easy path
the way of the flesh, of damnation,
or we can follow our Savior
who lived and died for us

Two roads, two paths,
each of our choosing
the way of the cross, of Christ,
or the way of the world;
Two roads, two paths,
but so different destinations,
one path to heaven
and one to destruction
