Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner

Lord, how I can relate to them

the weakness of the first disciples

that night in the upper room,

falling asleep in Gethsemane

failing you in your darkest hour.

Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner

in my failing to be more faithful

help me, Lord, I pray, in this moment,

all of my life going forward,

to be more faithful, more loving

to trust in you alone, my Master,

my Lord and my Savior.
