Living a life undisciplined – v3

Living a life undisciplined,
inner dialogue shattered,
no self-control, no off switch,
fear in the mixture, unraveled…

Too many tabs open, impulsive,
victim of abuse, of bullying,
screaming, pushing back,
passive aggressive, lashing out...

Wanting control in the chaos,
noise, order where there is none,
afraid to battle the demons,
to stand on faith, defiant, certain…

Focused, not scattered, planning,
with our time, our talents, our treasure,
mapping a way through valleys,
to God, to the mountaintops...

Focus on God

Focus on God
on the fruit of the Spirit
our calling, our purpose,
in this life, this journey,
the steps we have made
that path we are on.

Focus on God
on God’s perspective
changes God can make
with the Spirit within
the steps we can choose
on the path God has written.

Unconditional – v2

Not circumstance or condition
not momentary, fleeting,
alive now, living, sustaining,
unconditional love, endless joy,
enduring peace, of the Father,
of the Spirit indwelling,
of the Savior, the Master,
our living triune God

Not a feeling but a presence
the present of the present
allowing, empowering indwelling
submission, supplication,
drawing God’s breath within
breathing in joy, peace, love,
overcoming, overwhelming
every circumstance in life.

Unconditional

Not circumstance or condition
not momentary, fleeting,
unconditional love, unconditional joy,
unconditional peace, of the Father,
of the Spirit indwelling,
of the Savior, the Master,
our living triune God

Not a feeling but a presence
the present of the present
allowing, empowering the indwelling
the submission, the supplication,
drawing God’s breath within
breathing in joy, peace, love,
overcoming, overwhelming
every circumstance in life.

Living Fruit

https://raymondafoss.blogspot.com/2022/05/living-fruit.html

Galatians 5:22-23

Fruit of the Spirit is:

“love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (ESV)

“love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,

faith, meekness, temperance” (KJV)

“things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity.

We develop a willingness to stick with things,

a sense of compassion in the heart, and

a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people.

We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments,

not needing to force our way in life,

able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.” (MSG)

I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh”
