At the table He gathered
with his disciples,
with friends,
with the lost, the last,
the least, the sinners too
Redeemed them, instructed them
brought wholeness, holinesses
in the breaking of bread,
the communal meal
The sharing of himself with us
in simple elements
revealing to us all
at the table,
we all share

Walk to Emmaus,
dinner with Zacchaeus,
in the feeding of the 5,000,
in the meals with the disciples, and
in the Last Supper
