The body of Christ,
the church, universal
a shimmering, living fabric,
precious threads, unique and special,
woven together with love
to show the image of God
to all the world
shimmering in the darkness,
the faintest light,
nuanced and changing
living as He did, as we do
in this world; but separate,
set apart, for God’s purposes
being the Son, the Father
the hands and feet of God
for all our neighbors
all around the world
