Between the wall of the porch
the lawn by the driveway
a rhododendron jungle
thick stalks a vine,
intricately wound, woven
interconnected, thick
a moist shaded place
under the summer sun
walking over, through
adventures in play
a great place for hiking
in the dense rainforest
the Amazon jungle
my cousins and me
in our grandparents’ yard
