The scripture revealing, the fires of life, the refining fire of God
the fires of the spirit, landing on us like doves
burning into us, consuming that which must be burned away
bringing us toward him, into his presence, speaking
in words we do not know, to those who are in need
being led by the fires by night, the cloud by day
going where the Lord commands, where he calls
becoming, in the testing, in the refining
a reflection of him, perfection a journey
pruned, refined, but not consumed
walking through the waters, through the fires
on our journey through life
the Lord walking beside us, all the way
