Sitting with them,
in their home, at the end of the day
at the table with them, a stranger no more
being the host, in the blessing of the loaf,
in the breaking and in the sharing
Revealing himself, in the simple acts
their eyes opened, understanding suddenly
in that moment alone, something changed
as the master had in the Upper Room, changing the liturgy
revealing his passion, his sacrifice
in the breaking of the bread
at the table with them
