Commanded, appointed, to bear fruit
to bear lasting fruit
love, abiding in him
in the Father, in the vine
loving as He loved, as He loves,
as He has commanded us
our neighbors, our brothers, our sisters
all who are in need.
A legacy, eternal fruit
love the fruit we are called to bear
a harvest of souls to feed
with our living example
Christ’s sacrifice, God’s love
His endless grace
living in our witness and over lives
in each successive generation
to the ends of the earth
and to the ends of the age.
