The king, our savior
our brother down to earth
walking as we do
in the dust and dirt
Hearing the same messages
the same temptations as us
Choosing to follow the master
total reliance in God
Needing the master,
his rod and his staff
Finding strength in his worship
in his preaching and in his prayers
Walking the road to Calvary
whips and the cross to bear
A human dying for all of our lives
so we would find comfort there
In heaven we may claim a room
mansions in the fields
walking with our brother once more
in our eternal home
