God Loves

God loves, each of us
enough to send love
his son, into the world
to walk as a mortal
though he was God
to come among us a baby
walking the road
the path of earth
Carrying our sin
up onto the cross
the nails, the pain
humiliation, forgiving us
reconciling us to God
while we yet sin
Bringing to us a way
home to our father
God loves
all of us.
