The Christ, descendent of David
son of God, Messiah
prophesied of old
coming to the world
to save to heal
the brokenness of man
Fulfilling God’s promise
coming to the earth
to stitch shut the breach
Reconciling man
the promise to the people
the steadfast love of God
coming while were yet in sin
Saving us,
by love come to this world
dying on the cross,
the stain taken upon himself
rising, defeating, death no longer the end
a life in heaven
at the end of the age
