Hear My Prayer

Crying in the night
from my struggle
calling to God
that he would hear my prayer

Wanting an answer
now, this instant,
knowing that God’s answer
comes in God’s time

Continuing to pray
because I know his promise
to answer prayers lifted
raised up in his holy name
