Usurping the place of God
turning from his open arms
choosing to go to the foreign country
away from our Father, our God
Sin puts I in the center
the focus of our lives
taking away as our priority
the focus of our lives
Choosing to make us king
life the fool as a patient
seeing us as equals
as the creator of all things
Separating us from our position
while we are yet made of clay
taking God’s rightful positions
our desires in the way
Keeping us from relation
walking with our God
on the journey aimless
stuck in the miry clay
