Between our repentance
and walking in rebirth
drenched in conviction
slogging in the mud

Turning from the world
heading toward home
yet not fully arrived
into our father’s arms

We are exposed and vulnerable, and not yet comfortable with a new way of living. We are unrecognizable as our old selves, but not yet fully formed as new ones."
