by the Spirit descending
landing on each believer
as if wish tongues of fire
Sending us forth
infused with God’s message
informed by each promise
fulfilled in our Lord Jesus
We are the messages
each a messenger of God’s love
the proof of His forgiveness
in our stories we should tell
How God is moving
active in our own lives
fulfilling yet His promise
to redeem all the people
the world unto himself
