Boldly, with Peter – v2

Read the words of the rock
speaking for all believers
gathered with Jesus
soon, before his dying
an affirmation of faith
the rock which we stand on
the core of our belief
God’s mercy and grace

Boldly, with Peter
may we ever speak
the affirmation, the faith
our belief in Jesus
“You are the Christ, the Messiah,
the Son of the living God”
who came and died
that we may have life
life immortal
because he went to the cross
