Uncomfortable Subjects

Our worship, the illumination of our minds
our openness, hospitality
tested, at the margin
in the uncomfortable subjects
the rough places, yours and mine
wanting to follow Jesus
to live out his commands
to truly love our Maker
our Savior, our God
and to truly love our neighbors
our neighbors, one and all
Tested in the moments
when we are confronted
with differences, discomfort
from within and without
Do we follow Jesus
to we offer love
do we truly love our neighbors
do we offer them hope
healing of their brokenness
do we truly, really
do we always offer them love
