That we may hear with joy

Lord, open our hearts
make us ready, open
that we may hear with joy
the story of our Savior
written in the scriptures
that we may be transformed
by the revelation
the seeing of God in the simple
in the bread and the wine
in the breaking and the pouring
the sharing of Christ
lifting us up
raising us from death
to walk in love
