It is God who walks with us

On the way, on this journey
especially in Lent
we seek to come to Jesus
to walk the road with him
to suffer, to hear his words
to sense the struggles, their trials
but we forget the creator
his role in our lives
he is already here
right by our side
It is God who walks with us
he lifts us up
we only have to accept
his offering of love
his gift already bought
the cross of Calvary
we must accept
our heart the key
to say yes to God’s grace
his offering of love
to repent of our past
and simply believe
