His Palette of Winter – v2
In whites and grays
in winds and in ice
bluish, darker,
a foreboding of cold
His palette of winter
of light, of shadow, chill
bright colors of clothing
and the whisper of spring
Fires blazing, embers,
smoke wafting on the frigid
the chill in the air, cold
gripping us, pushing us inside
Skies foreboding, snow
a glimpse of soft sun
hope in the slumber
of the spring days to come
